Rev. Heshimu JD Sparks
Pastor
Pastor Sparks has more than thirty years of pastoral experience, with more than ten years of experience as Director of Christian Education. Additionally, he has more than thirty years of business management experience with ten years of management in the non-profit sector. Pastor Sparks attended the Urban Ministries program at the Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School in Rochester, New York. He holds a certificate in theology from The Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia and a certificate in non-profit management from the Empire State College in Buffalo, New York.
Rev. Dr. Al Clark
Assistant Pastor
Rev. Dr. Clark has eleven years of ministerial and Christian education experience. She has bachelor and master’s degrees in Health Care Administration and Policy with extensive experience as a college professor in that field. She also has a Doctorate in Education Psychology.
Deacon Claude Walton
Chairman, Deacon Ministry
Deacon Walton serves as the Deacon Ministry Chairman and Sunday School Superintendent. He is an ordained Baptist deacon, ordained in 1992. Deacon Walton gave his life to and began his walk with the Lord as a teenager in 1964. Deacon Walton is a retired warehouse management executive of the JCPenney Corporation. During his tenure at JCPenney, he held several management positions. Most of his JCPenney career was in supply chain management, the last three years as Assistant General Manager, Atlanta RLC, Forest Park, Georgia. Deacon Walton is also a retired member of the United States Army. During his military tenure, he held several non-commissioned officer positions. Most of his military career was spent as a pharmacy technician, the last three years as an instructor for the Pharmacy Technician Course, Academy of Health Sciences, Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
